I am guessing this is in a mining area, and the mining brand / company / whoever has put up the money for it and someone had the bright idea of putting in some of their "equipment" for the pleasure of the park users.

Nice... if you are into that sort of thing.

I would say it is a giant mining digger bucket and some side arms.

Anyone else care to join in?

Park looks ok too, I guess.

From a site of information:

Map of Cobar, NSW 2835

About 700 kms north west of Sydney.

Although there have been periods of boom and decline depending on copper prices, Cobar is known for the mineral wealth - mainly copper but also zinc, lead and silver - extracted from the mines. The Great Cobar mine closed in 1919 but the opening up of new mining ventures in more recent times has seen Cobar become prosperous once again.

This busy town is also the commercial centre for a major wool-growing district and a major rest stop on the cross-roads of the Barrier Highway and Kidman Way.
