> PADDO STAGE 1
Stage 1 of the Paddington Skatepark Upgrade is set to commence at the end of July / Start of August however Convic may be on site from Tuesday 27th July, 2015, (next week).
As you can see from the plans, it is an updated version of what is already there keeping a lot of the same obstacles and adding a few new obstacles.
Please see the poster for further information and the Stage 1 area (shaded).
In other Skatepark news, the upgrade for Inala Skatepark will commence on 9th September, 2015, (Convic will also be doing construction for this upgrade). Both Paddington and Inala Upgrades are to be completed at the same time which is at the end of 2015.
Does anyone have a larger version or link to it with what is printed in the bottom left corner?
Or just tell / explain what is actually going in please?
bowl and funbox stay. getting rid of the 1/2 pipe. hopefully this is easier to see.
Interested to know if this is what the locals came up with at the meetings that were held?
Is the "existing" park getting re-surfaced?
The brisbaneskateboarding insta had more info and I think I saw from Norm (badpants) that it was a bit of a waste of time with all the meetings and nothing actually happening from them.
I am all for bowl and transition, but it seems that the main part of the park - the big ledge - is going to go and be replaced by something that will not be half as good as what people who actually skate there really wanted.
It kind of looks like a mirror of the existing park. with the nipple/pyramid looking object going into a half bowl.
These plans they have provided are really shit. I'm all for the tree's staying but do they need to be blocking the drawings on the plan haha.

Lots of interesting pics and vids of Paddo.
Locals still skating there too... Not the best idea.

More destruction. If they are keeping the bank, you would hope that they don't drop a big heavy chunk of concrete on it and put holes in it.
Been looking at people's instagram pics more than anything. #paddoreport or #paddolove seem to have a few.
Last I heard they had finished the destruction and were waiting on the builders to finish another local job before starting on the Paddo rebuild.
This is one from about a month ago, screen grab from Extremes shop.
