On the subject of cooking methods (& off the whole 'sandwich' thing) how good are pie makers! Just add pastry and any ol' leftovers become a tasty pie, off its head!
Always imagined a toasted sandwich shop/ pie shop, think subway like make your own/pick your toppings etc. inb4 someone tells me there is such a thing outside W.A
On a Hoon run I came up with an idea to put 2 minute noodles in a toasted sandwich. I tried it and it sucked balls. Don't do it.
What does go good with a toastie is giving it a little squirt of some hot sauce before you put it in for the melt. The sauce melts in with the cheese to give it some zap. Approved.
yea I tried the 2 min noodle toasted sandwich one before. So chat even with cheese.
'Toasties' would be an everyday stop shop.
Nutella & peanut butter in the sandwich press is badass if you're a sugar junkie
egg, cheese, avocado, bacon and sriracha sauce toasted bagels is killer.
otherwise a whataburger patty melt
leftovers wise, I chuck Bolognese pasta sauce from the night before in with some tasty/swiss cheese and toasted, also unreal.
you gotta remember to butter the OUTSIDE of the bread for extra crispy dreamy sandwich.
Went to Sparrow's in Fitzroy for a Philly Cheese Steak on the weekend. It was okay, but nothing special.
