> MAN CHARGED $1.67 MILLION OVER SKITCHING ACCIDENT
A Woonona man dad has been sued for $1.67 million after a skitching accident involving his son's friend. Read more on the Ride site http://theridechannel.com/news/2015/05/australian-skater-awarded-1.6-million-dollars-for-skitching
What a fuckhead, it was his choice. That is not fair at all, justice is a game
Awful to see stories like this, sure it sucks a bad thing happened to you but accept responsibility for your actions, blaming someone else in such a greedy way is a disgusting, not to mention how bad this is for skateboarding as a whole :/
Sure he has to take responsibility but he's also 12... 12 year olds are dumb as dog shit, if he was 20 or something he should have known better but he wasn't. He wasn't your bro skater wearing Vans and a tiny beanie on the back of his head, he was a pubeless child.
Dad needs to take responsibility as well, good one Dad, dick. Dad shouldn't get sued $1.6m tho..
Dad gets sick of kids nagging him to let them skitch the car and probably convinced him that they're heaps sick skaters, caves in and does it just to shut them up, probably shows a bit of caution by going slow but then still here's the little mongrels telling him to go faster, so he speeds up, nek minnit.. kids out cold and the dad knew this would happen, parents of the injured kid probably got told a load a bullshit and sue the poor bastard for just trying to shut the kids up.
I'm not saying thats what happened, but you can't deny its not plausable either
i'm 22 so I can remember 12 reasonably well, i can definitely remember skitching cars and knowing exactly what the consequences would have been if i bailed, i was a dumb little fucker as well.
