The park has a number of trees which shed leaves and other things on the surface, and also provides some shade. A tap is nearby but nothing else from what I recall other than the sports clubs, so bring your supplies and a broom.

Thornside Skatepark

Thornside, not to be confused with Thornlands, is north of Capalaba and is a relatively new park (2000 / 2001 construction) but seems to be lacking in basic workmanship. There is a couple of decent grind blocks of the standard 1ft height, a small "pizza slice" bank type obstacle, a low rail and the smallest half pipe I think I have ever seen, being the same height as the grind blocks 1ft high and about 10 ft wide, coping that sticks out a mile and very short mellow lumpy transitions which make it harder to skate than many other ramps around.
