Black Box Australia signs licensing deal with Hoon Skateboards
2nd June, 2011 – Melbourne, Vic.
Black Box Australia is proud to announce an Australasian licensing agreement with Hoon Skateboards.
Hoon founder Andrew Currie will continue as Creative Director & Pro team rider, working closely with Black Box to build Hoon Skateboards into the truly iconic Australian skateboard brand we envision it to be.
“Hoon represents part of skateboarding’s culture that rises above trends – I’m looking forward to helping Hoon stay on the road for years to come!” said Black Box Australia GM Barnaby Lawrenson.

Not questioning either brand but the phrase 'by skaters, for skaters' is quickly turning into a giant cliche.

In the day to day things and workings of a company what does this actually mean???
You'd have to say that's pretty much a match made in heaven, Hoon sits nicely with the Blackbox brands.

In the day to day things and workings of a company what does this actually mean???
I would think it means that Cuz can still run the Hoon brand and do what he wants with it, but without someone to do the distribution of it, he would be on the road having to rep the product too, so in comes the meeting and working with an existing distribution company of very reputable brands to add to and now it is set for a much wider distribution through their own existing lines to get into a lot more shops and be handled by their in house account staff, through their reps, etc.
Cuz would have a lot more time to skate, drink and do whatever gets him paid with SBA or whatever he is doing nowdays.
If this is not the case, feel free to tell me I am wrong, although someone probably would anyway.
