Vans AVE Pro Wear Test
The highly anticipated Vans AVE Pro shoe release had most skaters desperately wanting to get a pair of AVE's on their feet.
A shoe that looks and feels like a totally different design for Vans that still maintains the Vans board feel that skaters love & DEMAND. To prove this it made sense we put the AVE Pro to the test.
Winter in Melbourne and a Sunday night, indoors was the only option. Tommy Breaks Curbside Club house located on the bayside of Melbourne made for the perfect location to put the shoe to the test.
Tony Woodward (@gooch_street) and Neihana Tonkin (@neihana_tonkin) where there to film the action, while Wade McLaughlin (@wade_mclaughlin) shot the pics.
Food, Beers and a surprise birthday cake for Fasttimes Andrew Tebb thrown into the mix of white shoes and plenty of skateboarding tricks.

This place just received a $900k government grant to install a pump track and upgrade the skate park, so hopefully it will be good in 2025.

Big kahunas required to ride the big bowl.. but its so fun! The rest of the park has average flow but the architecture and layout is pretty unique and fun! 4.5/5

flat enough ground for beginners to learn to push and stay on the board, but the ramp is a little dodgy
edit: careful riding on the lighter concrete, it's really slippery and the change from rough concrete to smooth is super jarring
