> BOROONDARA SKATEPARK CONCRETE BARRIERS
I saw an article in the Herald Sun re Boroondara Council has put big concrete blocks throughout the local skatepark to stop people using it.
These are the same barriers that skaters love to include in DIY obstacles with a little concrete to add a transition at the bottom.
If it wasn't such a serious situation, this might be just an awesome addition to a skatepark. Sure would stop scooter kids getting through!

This place just received a $900k government grant to install a pump track and upgrade the skate park, so hopefully it will be good in 2025.

Big kahunas required to ride the big bowl.. but its so fun! The rest of the park has average flow but the architecture and layout is pretty unique and fun! 4.5/5

flat enough ground for beginners to learn to push and stay on the board, but the ramp is a little dodgy
edit: careful riding on the lighter concrete, it's really slippery and the change from rough concrete to smooth is super jarring
