Belconnen Skatepark is having design consultation to contribute to a FINAL SKETCH PLAN for upgrade.
4 - 6pm at Belco skatepark on Thursday December 17th is your chance to have some input with the designers!
Bring some ideas, even some pics or some drawings of obstacles you'd like to see.

Like ditch everything but the bowl and create some current new exciting areas
We should have surveys of what you want at belco in Shiftys tomorow. everyone should try and fill one out.
A big mini ramp surrounded by a moat of broken glass to stop the BMXicans traipsing through.
A dedicated slab of concrete for games of C*NT surrounded by ledges to stop the transition skaters traipsing through.
A larger seating area with a spittoon, for the Belco Bloods and Crips to congregate.
Oxigen Landscape Architects are working with Skate Park Design Specialist Peter B Young to assist the Community of Canberra to redevelop the Belconnen Skate Park and surrounding public realm.
Preliminary planning has taken place after site analysis and review of background information as well as consultation with the Canberra Skateboarding Association. Now is your chance to add value to the design and suggest preferred elements and obstacles which could potentially be incorporated into the design.
