Rocked up at forrest skatepark for a wee solo shred to this lovely surprise.
After months of hassling the local council, they finally as promised have begun resurfacing the ground at forrestville.
They only had budget to replace the ground and volcano, (they said the shotgun rail as well, but that seems to have disappeared without replacement)
No one was there so no ETA on when it'll be done.
Doubt any one cares, I'm probably the only one that skates this park any more.
oh yeah, I forgot to get a picture of it but they also resurface allambie miniramp/halfpipe, it's so fun and fast now.
That park looks like heaps of fun. Out of curiosity how bad was the ground? It would be cool to see some before/after shots when it's all finished.

I heard it was well fucked before that's why they are pressured into fixing it..
Maybe St.Ives skatepark needs to be damaged a bit more before they get their shit together and resurface that!!! That would be the best thing in the world.

Great to see Forestille getting reserfaced. I used to skate it a fair bit before the ground went to shit. Maybee they could paint the banks etc see if that helps also.
In my view St ives is beyond repair they shoud demolish it and build something new.
Fuck yeah the new volcano will be rad! The shot gun rail was a legacy ahh well she'll still be right. Cheers for the updates, I had no idea the park was being resurfaced cant wait to skate this bad boy again.
Finished, it's fast and fun, with new lines.
They did put in a new rail, it's round slightly fatter than usual and about 5-10 cm lower to the ground than the old one, I'd post a flick if I new how from my phone... Bloody kook.
Not sold on the new volcano, it's bigger but sort of has a kink in it that wraps around the whole thing
