Bronica Problems

Hey folks I've recently purchased a bronica PS 150mm lens for my SQ-A from KEH. When I got it i found that it wouldn't fire my flashes even though the 80mm S lens I've been using works perfectly. I made sure i checked the contacts in both the sqa and the lens + making sure the lens wasn't on the T setting but none of it worked so I emailed KEH and they sent me a brand new(used) lens for free. Now I've just received the new lens and it is doing the exact same thing as the other one so I'm wondering if its a problem on my end.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?
Also is anyone in Melbourne able to meet up with me that has an SQ series camera, with a working 150 preferably, that i could test to see if its just my camera/lens?

Hmm, a long time ago I ran into some similar issues. I don't remember exactly what it is, but I know it was the lens that was the problem (in my case it was the 80mm). Whatever controls flash firing via the pc sync port is in the lens, and other lenses didn't have the problem. I think it's an issue with the lenses and unfortunately you got two that had the same problem. That would be my guess based on my experience with it anyway.

Cheers Riely. I pretty much figured it was something inside the lens causing it. What'd you do to fix it? Did you get it serviced or did you just end up getting a new lens?
