Drew: This interview sucks, do you have anything positive you can say about Dane?
Dane as a person or dane as a skateboarder? hes pretty fcuking good at skateboardering. fuck i don't know what else to say thats positive. He's positively an asshole most of the time and he's really good at it... i still like the guy though, i kinda really like that he's an asshole, especially when i can look on from a far but it sucks when your in the firing line. i dont know... even that's inspiring at times. oh another positive is that his grandma secretly smokes, so the time that i stayed at his grandmas place he let me smoke in the loungeroom whilst watching ook videos which is a luxury i'm glad i never had as a kid.
Drew: Whats this shit about some kid's mum's tits, I dont really understand. What did I miss?
oh right, i wasn't there but i've heard the rumours. there is an ongoing saga between dane and that comp kid ray macken and hense his mum also cause she seems to be at his heels most of the time, i think he was yelling abuse at the whole family at a volcom wild in the parks comp and she was taking it pretty well, responsibly and just plain motherly by yelling back and grabbing her tits or something.
Drew: Not many skateboarders are prepared to come out of the closet. How did Dane's friends react when he told them?
he came out? shit's news to me. sorry man i heard the 'dane only has one ball' story and then got bummed out when that was proven not to be true so i don't want to get too excited and start believing he's finally come out just to be let down again.

on shoots? you make it sound so professional haha. umm no he's actually pretty sweet to deal with when he's trying the trick and he's pretty good at coming up with spots and coming through with claims etc, pretty motivated dude on the skating side of things, but its just before and after the 'shoots' that hes a bitch to deal with, especially if he doesnt get a trick, then he's a nightmare.

well i'm not sure. it's just dane. i think everyone is kinda getting him more and more as the forums of controversy grow larger and larger. it's all true, he's the (somehow) loveable retard that is an absolutely ruthless asshole to everyone while he's in sydney, but he somehow gets away with most of it. i think he's just stuck to his guns so hard out with the asshole thing and pissing people off that he can just get away with anything. he'll get punched out one day sooner or later by someone that just doesnt catch on quick enough, but that wont stop him. all i can really hope for is that he gets his trip to the states sorted out sooner then later and he can let out some of ridiculous energy/hate/assholeness on the world otherwise it's just going to be too much for australia and he will become the most bitter old man skateboarding has ever seen. good luck dane.
