John, lets get this out of the way straight off the bat, why are you called peewee?
I WAS BORN 3 MONTHS PREMATURE, AND COZ I WAS SO LITTLE MY OLD MAN CALLED ME PEEWEE AND I GUESS EVER SINCE THEN IT'S STUCK. AND ALSO COZ I GOT A LITTLE DICK.
Most people already assumed that part, so how did you get into this skateboarding thing? I USED TO SURF ALOT WHEN I WAS GROWING UP AND I PLAYED FOOTY, BUT THEN I GOT OVER IT. THE SURF WAS FLAT ONE DAY AND I'D SEEN SOME KIDS IN MY STREET SKATING SO I THOUGHT I'D GIVE IT A GO. EVER SINCE I'VE BEEN HOOKED.
Who did you look up to skating wise growing up?
A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT KIDS WOULDN'T KNOW ABOUT THESE DAYS, BUT SOME OF THE GUYS GUYS WOULD BE SKUNKOS FOR SURE, JAKEY ,SHANE, ALL THE LADS I SHREDED WITH I KINDA LOOKED UP TO.. I LOOK UP 2 U ROME HAHA
whos skating are you into these days?
LUDA, JAKE, CUZZ, JOSHY BO, NICK WILSON, DANDY, ROCHE, DOC, WHO EVER ELSE IS AROUND THAT'S DOWN TO SHRED.
youve always lived on the gc, why haven't you moved away?
IM LAZY. THATS ALL I CAN SAY REALLY. WHY LEAVE WHEN EVERYTHING I NEED IS HERE ON THE GOLDI. IT MAKES LITTLE TRIPS AWAY EVEN BETTER. AND EVERYONE KNOWS THIS PLACE IS PARADISE, WHY WOULD I EVER WANT TO MOVE.
your on creature direct now, whats next, the states?
YEAH I AM...SICK! I AM HEADING TO THE STATES IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS , I CANT WAIT!

You recently came 3rd in the q'silver bowl comp, In the past i felt you always skated well in these sort of things but got over looked by the judges every time,how did it feel to place so high in an important comp like that?
I WAS PRETTY WASTED BY THE END HAHA, BUT IT WAS A GOOD DAY BECAUSE EVERYONE WAS SHREDDING AND NOT REALLY GIVING A FUCK. I'M JUST STOKED I STAYED ON AND IT WAS GOOD HAVING THE LOCAL LADS THERE. AND FUCK, THAT CUZZA MAN HE'S CRAZY....

You've been know as a bit of a lady killer, is peewee ever going to settle down and have some baby peewees and make your mum a proud myspace grandmother?

Whats your deal with globe? you've been riding for them on and off for at least 20 years now, your really should have four shoe's out by now like Chet Thomas. Are they still hooking you up?
YEAH DOUGLAS IS HOOKIN' IT UP REAL GOOD, IM PSYCHED ON THE SHOES, THEY'VE GOT SOME GOOD SHIT COMING OUT AND MAPPY IS THE BEST TEAM MANAGER OUT THERE. SO YEAH ,SHIT IS GOOD AS FAR AS GLOBE GOES, THEY LOOK AFTER ME.
What's your favourite thing to skate these days? I know growing up skating Nexus everyday when we were younger didn't help your tranny skills, but you have always been able to rip a bit of everything. You seem to be leaning more towards transition now, are you on your on your way to becoming a bitter old bowl guy?
FUCK OFF! IM NOT A BITTER OLD BOWL GUY YOU DOG. I'VE ALWAYS HAD THE TRANSITION IN ME GROWING UP UNDER JOSH LOVELL'S WING. THERE WAS NO GOOD BOWLS WHERE I LIVED WHEN NEXUS WAS AROUND SO WE WOULD JUST SKATE THERE EVERYDAY. DON'T YOU WORRY THOUGH, STREET PEEWEE'S BEEN COMING OUT A BIT LATELY, HE HAS'NT GONE JUST YET, HAHA.
How stoked are you that the gold coast skaters have finally got some decent parks built? Before Elanora was built the last park we've had in the last 10 years was pacific pines, which in my opinion sucks ass. Elanora, Varcity, Nerang and then Pizzey extensions will all be getting done in the next year, do you think that's really going to help the Gold Coast scene?

To my surprise, about a year ago you got a job for the first time in your life and actually held it for more than a shift. your unemployed again, what's the game plan? get another job? or jump back on Kevin Rudds surf team?
YEAH FUCK I HAD A REAL GOOD JOB FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS. THE WORK CREW WERE TIGHT BUT THE BOSS HATED ME SO IT WAS TIME TO LEAVE,THEIR STYLE, WHATEVER, IM NOT PISSED. PLUS I WAS ALWAYS ASKING FOR TIME OFF FOR TRIPS. BUT YEAH ,IM JUST GONNA CHILL FOR A BIT AND FLOAT, I DID IT FOR NEARLY 10 YEARS BEFORE THAT SO ILL BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT AGAIN, MORE SKATE TIME FOR ME! RUDDY'S HELPED ME OUT A BIT TOO, IM ON HIS FLOW TEAM.
So creature are flying you over to yank land, do you feel any pressure to have a harder name being a creature rider? Theres guys on the team called Black Metal Dave, the Verticle Vampire and Sparrow, is the name Peewee going to cut it? Will you have to change it to Crow or corpse to make the cut? what about an ozzie twist on it, call yourself Yabby or maybe bilby?
HAHA YEAH MAYBE, LETS JUS HOPE SO U PIG. HAHA IM SURE WE'LL BE ALL GOOD, MAYBE I CAN BE CALLED PEEWEE THE PYTHON, OR PEEWEE PANDA.
