lowly i was under the impressions seven made they're own decks, was this ever the case or are my friends flaming retards?
awesome wood make - seven & armourdillo & shitloads of shop decks
Folklore - darkside...dunno although folklore - image...yes
at least darkside have put some effort into their graphics, not my thing but a decent effort none the less. skatebiz.... dont get me started kid! if i wanted a board that said skatebiz.com in their already shit logo...id rather a board with a coca-cloa logo! actually if your shop board says .com go somewhere else.
You know a company's making good decks when all they bring to the design is the graphic.
skatebiz decks are the shit cos there cheap and have good pop compared to some of the big brands
support local skateshops!
the graphic needs a redesign, the truck would cover the 2nd doodle...
if dlx made shop decks then yes, maybe they would be as good
So how much did darkside pay to use famous peoples heads on their boards or do they pay royalties?
Thanks for all the kind comments on the boards. The artist that did the graphic work tried really hard to make them have a feel that they were part of a series, yet stand alone well also.
We do our own boards to stay competitive with the other shops and although we sell plenty, we would much prefer to sell pro wood, but at this time the $69 pricepoint is what the market-our customers, can afford. We use the money we make from our shop board program to fund our skate team, bring out a new skate video each year, and generally keep skating more affordable!
My best board by far is my shiftys by far (which is a shop deck) its realy strong and i have had it for ages now
