Wait...what...there is a correct way to lace shoes? And people care about how you lace your shoes?

Here I am thinking laces are a device that was invented to keep your shoes tight and on your feet. Fuck I must be living under a rock...

its not the correct way just a way that people think looks better.

Right....

They are laces though aren't they. Like...bits of string that hold up your shoes.

So what looks better....

Goddammit Clownie!!

Here I am wearing a pair of black Vans Rowley Shambles...with black laces.

Should I have put in the white? I have laced them in my own certain way which is:

1. Insert lace into lace hole
2. Pull lace through
3. Repeat until all holes have laces in them
4. Tie lace together at the top of the shoe.

I hope I haven't done anything wrong!

I tie mine so it spells out BAM on one foot, and the other foot I try to make it like a heartagram but it's a bit hard.

braddox 13:39 19/Sep/08

c`mon guys, have a bit of pride in your appearance. be more like fox, do something cool with your laces. just tying them seems like a waste of so many sartorial possibilities.

seriously though, i like my laces to be flat, not twisted when i lace em up. saying that however, i am a little anal retentive.

I JUST FOUND A TWISTED LACE!!! ON MY LEFT SHOE!

The right is flat as...but the left!! Arrgh!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Steele Saunders who came to Geelong yesterday and gave me a lesson in correct lacing.

braddox 19:14 19/Sep/08

Laz, if i was you i'd flatten that lace out. seriously, you need to get onto that immeadiately.
