Mark Brimson 08:29 22/Sep/08

price is pretty good for a decent skate shoe too $70 compared to $120 for about the same of other brands

baulko
baulko 09:22 22/Sep/08

If you like the shoes, buy em. If you don't, buy something else...
Pretty simple concept really.

Sorry if that sounded like a "sales pitch" Dave B.
I wouldn't want to offend you by believing in what we do...

Vert 4 Trev! 14:11 22/Sep/08

Hey they dont have the SS on the side of them either. So they dont actually look like that. if you dont like these you wont like the Emerica and Vans version as well. They are simple and cheap, just trying to help you guys out.

Hey Dave B, didnt you want to get on Volleys originally when you contacted me. Sorry I couldn't help out, I tried but Baulko took over and brought Cuzza, Azar and Marty on. Dont hate mate, considering you were so stoked on them originally.

Baulko Post the actual picture of them and get Skatebiz to put the correct photo on their website

Sick! I feel like a chump forking over $120 for vans knowing full well the sole will be gone to shit within about two weeks. Even if these only last just as good, I'll only have to fork out half the cash. Win.

Broken 14:59 22/Sep/08

Another awesome example of corporate companies coming into skateboarding and fucking skate companies over... How can skate shoe companies compete with Dunlop aka Pacific Brands (aka Slazenger, Maxfli, King Gee, Stubbies, Bonds, Clarks the list goes on and on and on...)? If I was trying to sell skate shoes in Australia right now I'd be shitting my pants.

No hate on Trev or Baulko, it's just fucked that OG skate companies like Lakai, DVS... fuck, even Osiris are going to get smashed by a multi million dollar company buying it's way into skateboarding.

Rant over... Hate on.

baulko
baulko 15:11 22/Sep/08

The reason we are doing this brand is to make shoes affordable to the general skating population and to look after Australian Skateboarders. If you want to support companies like DVS, Lakai etc be my guest. Their shoes are fucking amazing. I know, I used to sell them. All we're are doing is trying to help out Aussie skateboarders who can't afford to fork out 100's of dollars every couple of weeks on new shoes... We have never stated that we are gonna take over and put other shoe companies out of business. I find it highly unlikely that a situation like that would ever arise. Thanks for the confidence boost though! We never pictured ourselves to have so much power... haha.
Opinion accepted "Broken".

Reply over... Skate On.

baulko and Vert 4 Trev! if you think comments like;

"If you like the shoes, buy em. If you don't, buy something else..."

and

"They are simple and cheap, just trying to help you guys out."

are gonna shut the hate up you are wrong.
I'm sick of Aussie skate companies and shops who can't handle the hate...

The release of these sh!t looking shoes has been talked up for months now. Let's see if they deliver.

$60 or $70 is cheap for a pair of skate shoes. You carntz who are paid to say only great things about these shoes better hope the old saying of "You get what you pay for" doesn't apply to your products.

monkz 15:37 22/Sep/08

I seriously can not understand why some people are hating on this. Good looking cheap shoes that are supporting some Aussie fuckin' legends. Sounds pretty fucking good to me.

The haters must be the one's who's Mummy and Daddy can afford to dish out $120 (min) for a new pair of shoes every month.

Big ups Glen. OTK#2?

Vert 4 Trev! 15:38 22/Sep/08

Just so people know:

I (Trevor Ward) came up with the idea to do another skate shoe brand three years ago. I originally tried to source the product and fund it myself but realized it was too expensive. This is how Pac brands became involved. They have money, growth and distribution. All the great qualities to make any company succeed. They also have been able to help people with their careers such as Cuz, Azar, Marty Girrotto and myself. If anything they are supporting Australian Skateboarding. Is this not obvious!

As far as hate, I love the hate. Hate is what keeps skateboarding real. Anyway I dont think you could offend me if you tried. Its funny. Anyway Leland and Broken thanks for your input.

60 or 70 dollars is what a skate shop will pay for any average skate shoe.

can we all be at least a little honest here.

vulcanized?
inner sole?
super suede?
lace protecters?
triple stitch toe cap?

ARE YOU SERIOUS?
this is fucking faggotry for the the swine skateshop owners to peddle and push unto 12 to 16 year olds.

just a little questioning goes a long way.
no matter who or what endorses what product from what company.

i mean it's all a little fucking rich to me, it was only a matter of time before dunlop realized that more or less, they could compete.

Vert 4 Trev! 15:41 22/Sep/08

Pac Brands also helped a huge Australian Skate company out of a little predicament about 2 years ago which could have seen a likely out come like what happened to Kwala. Facts are such an amazing thing!
