I was just watching Sky News and apparently they found his body in the yarra river and he was murdered over drugs. RIP Ben Pappas
this is one of the worst weeks for aus skateboarding. I skated with him once he is one of the nicest blokes I have ever met. Condolences to his family & friends

geeesh god damn a bad week for aussie sk8in'. ben was sooo soo so rad. i never met him or talked with him properly but yeah i stood in awe next to him at last year's global assualt as the contest finished and pretty much every1 had left the rod laver arena. i was hangin' 'round to see who was about etc. i saw greg stewart dom kekich (spellin'?) and ben pappas. dang i was nervous as f@#k!!! (i've watched all 3 of these guys since i 1st started sk8in' (*note.- tongue biters video)(and i've still got it on video). yeah these 3 were just chillin' ben signin' autographs and ppl takin' foto's. i didn't really talk to ben dom or greg like i said i was in awe.
thoughts and wishes to ben's family and close friends. especially Tas.

this totally reminds me of when steve irwin and the peter brok died in the same week, but in the sk8in world, RIP.

i remember seeing him and Tas on Tic Tac to Heelflip talking about the growth of skating in australia.
he was a legendary vert skater and he'll be sorely missed.
