Interview: Mike Martin

Intro : Mike Martin is from Frankston. I'm from Frankston to so don't start that
Frankston rubbish with me ok.
Drew had a plan to do a one day shoot with Mike in Geelong and make a
little interview out of it. Good idea I thought. As it turns out with
Mike being as efficient as he is, he turned a days shoot into an hour.
They hit up one school and he did everything there. In fact every
obstacle is a part of the same building too. How's that for efficiency?
Anyway, you may not know who Mike is but if you wanna see more of him

yeah i made a few lil clips of a few different mates and me skatin
random shit.
its just plain holmie cam edited to some wierd shit. more for a laugh
than anything.

What sort of car are you running?
ford 'larry' laser 89.

1.its blue.

1. had my plates ripped off out the front of my house not long ago. 5-0
said they pinch em to steal petty with.
not a bad idea ay? pricks.
2. went to a mates gig in fitzy and left my car on smith st.(pre alarm)
smakies broke in, took about 2 bucks shrappers i had and locked the door
on thier way out.
pretty considerate i thought.

youl hopefully be seeing lots more of him doing his thing.

gettin loose.
3. adam coleman-always laughing(at himself) and doing something awesome
on his shred sled.

1. blazers-ultimate in board feel, shape and grip.
2. dunk mids-best for ankle protection and comfort.
3. verona slip ons-same board feel, shape and grip as blazers but with a
chillen low vibe.

definatly the burger man which is a new one.
it has a hamburger with arms and legs on the front and on the back it
says ' with the lot'! love it.

Crashing to Earth went over schedule by a little bit.
Best reason Crashing to Earth took so long...
i think a few of us turned 18 during the filming and the celebrations
went for way too long.
Best Part about making Crashing to Earth...
probly just driving around melbourne searching for spots, crossing pages
off in the melways.
and getting to skate loads of fun shit along the way.
the premiere was pretty fun too.
Whos part did you enjoy the most in Crashing to
Earth.. you can say your own if thats what you think.
haha its definatly not mine. probly dale and the retro section were my
equal favs.
footage of echazar and spencer always goes down smooth.
Favourite of the 3... why? Blank Dirtbags/Blank Vandals/Crashing to Earth
vandals. when you guys were filming for vandals me and echazar were just
doing our thing then he got on blank and started filming a part
and i got to be a barnacle on some missions and see some amazing shit go
down. ended up gettin a trick in the friends sekky. stoked.
Alot of the old Blank riders names have disappeared
from Australian skateboarding.
Hypothetically speaking...if you had to bet a grand on
which one of the old Blank guys would make a comeback
right now, who would you put your money on.

1. 'the wall' best spot the shred with beers.
2. frankston skatepark, one of the biggest in oz. nice.
3. trigger bros skateshop, for all your skate needs and wants.
4. poppyseeds best cheap grub in town.
5. if you want someone 'taken care of' theres a guy at the train station
you can hit up.
