Not another Nathan Jackson Interview

Andrew: You just had one of these interviews on skateboard.com.au this year huh?

Nathan: Yeah sometime around the beginning of the year.

A: Is it that you get too much coverage or just that this website is the only thing that will give you love? Did you piss some people off at the magazines?

N: No way I don�t get much coverage at all, its definitely been a little while. I don�t know if I have pissed people off at magazines but hopefully will get something run soon in something. Skateboard.com.au is tight as f#ck!



A: Hopefully they use it� maybe everyone hates you now or something. Maybe it�s got something to do with less magazines coming out per year. What did you think when you heard Slam was cutting their yearly releases in half?

N: Lets hope so aye. I don�t know, maybe they do hate me or something im not sure. Maybe I just get shit photos too. Well it can go both ways, it can be good because then they can take their time with bringing them out and make the mag good but then you have to wait a little longer to see a mag but cant complain.



A: I guess you�ve been kinda screwed cause I�ve shot a bunch of the photos� need to find a new photographer to hang with. Have you seen Dave Adairs new magazine? I almost forgot about that cause I haven�t seen it, but that�s a nice addition to the scene.

N: Yeah maybe mags just hate you or something� Jus kiddin! Nah your alright. Nah I havn�t seen his new mag because I�ve been in the states, just seen the cover on the net but its going to be real good to have another magazine in the mix. Looking forward to seeing it.

A: You�ve been spending a lot of time here. Who you been skating with out here, have you gotta much stuff since you�ve been here?

N: Yeah I originally came out for the usual 90 days but then Dustin invited me on the Skate Rock Asia where we went to China and Thailand and that was one of the best experiences of my entire life! Then I extended my ticket a little longer for the states because my 90 days started again when I got back. Actually nearly didn�t get let back into American from Thailand but thanks to Richie (Belton) I made it back. Been skating with the Baker/Deathwish/Shake Junt guys which is always the best time ever. Filming with Beagle is always the best skates. Went to Long Beach and stayed with Jezza too at Julian (Davidson) and Nick (garcia) place which was the best also. Went to Oceanside at the beginning of my trip and stayed with BB and his brother Mouse and skated with the NS crew with Backwards Benny, Kirksy and Dane too.



A: So you got tricks with Beagle? You going to have anything in the Shake Junt video?

N: Yeah got a few things with Beagle. Theres an Oz section in the bonus with Snape, Rhino, Battle cat and myself which is tight! Super psyched on that and thanks to Shane (Heyl) and Dustin for hooking that up for us c#nts.

A: So you said that the China Skate Rock trip was one of the best trip you�ve been on.. that�s your second Skate Rock now. You killing it on all those too or just booze hounding� Can we expect to see some Nathan Jackson coverage in an international mag soon??? N: Yeah that was the most unreal trip I�ve ever been on in my life! So many goodtimes and a lot of good skating and shows that went down. I was so lucky to be able to go on that! Yeah lucky enough to have been on 2 Skate Rock�s this year, 1 in Oz and then the Asia one. You have to definitely do both its just way to much fun. Boozing at nights and some during the day for the goodtimes and a lot of skating going down so your just way to psyched not to skate with everyone. I would be super psyched if I got something in an international mag, fingers crossed hahaha.



A: Have you had any international coverage before?

N: Nah never, well just little things on sites and stuff if that counts? Like a Mag minute and some photos on Slap and Thrasher site but that�s about it.

A: That�s a start� now Shake Junt video� who knows whats next.. Dustin has helped you out a bit with all that.. how is it getting taken under his wing a bit and getting to skate with him and all those pros?

N: Yeah I�m more then psyched to have tricks in the Shake Junt video! Dustin has helped me out heaps and I thank him so much for that. He�s the best!!! I�m more then happy with the things he has helped me with!!! Skating with Dustin and all the Baker guys is seriously the best thing ever! Love going out skating with them, such good missions and always a bloody good time!

A: You�re out of here tonight right? Are you stoked to be heading back to the warm weather, or a little sad to leave all your friends here?

N: Yeah I�m flying back home tonight. Yeah im super stoked to be flying into summer weather. Summer is definitely my favourite time of year and its always good having summer time at home or around home with all the skating, swimming and BBQ�s. definitely gonna be sad leaving everyone here though, always have so much fun out here but will see everyone really soon I�m sure.

A: Are you gonna keep the travel bug alive when you get back or just chill in Brisbane for a while?

N: Well I fly into Brisbane and the day I get in im going straight to Melbourne for two weeks then back to Brisbane for Christmas and maybe new years but see what happens around then could even maybe go somewhere else for new years. Next year im definitely keen to keep the travel bug alive.
