and i was looking at buying supreme commander 2 hahaha. thats almost a 2 year old game and it would actually result in my computer physically runnign outta my house to jump in front of a car and commit suicide haha

My mate had the same issue, found out his pc was running a 64 bit windows and could only handle a 32 bit version. Check that out perhaps, but if your using a mac i apologise for wasting your time.

Whats everyones thoughts on the latest map pack?

i had a crack last night played a bit of dom, and found the maps exciting so many ways to get around to the objective, had the usual i dont know the map campers but it wasnt as bad as the past dlc's for the cod series.

Zombie map is ridiculous George A Romero saunters around to make sure you keep moving, if not you feel his wrath.

im considering just reloading windows and starting fresh. i got an external hdd so im not gunna lose anything. and i only have to reload small random programs bcoz thats all i used it for. i uninstalled a bunch of programs last night that dont get used to free up a bit of space. and i had the moh beta still on here takin up a gig hahaha. maybe i need to remove to 40gb of music hahaha.

as far as the maps go. meh meh meh and meh. they look too big, too many buildings to hide in, and too big. hotel looks to be the best, and people are comparing it in some ways too highrise, but it just looks cramped because theres too much going on, too many walls and cover and buildings. zoo is just stupid, cold dark and just weird, i mean why the fuck did they choose an abandoned zoo. basically its the same with all the maps, they look cold dark and just have no exciting feel to them. it all goes back to the colour schemes that BO uses. its just not as vibrant as MW2 was or the sandy coloured feel some of cod4's maps had.

they need to bring back some WAW maps i think. i mean thats all they really have that they can use, but they wont do it bcoz there WW2 era maps and i guess it wouldnt be fitting. but really i wouldnt care, they had some great maps in that game.

or just bring out more maps with bright colours, bright green neat cut looking grass and foliage and watnot. basically nuketown colors and feel, but bigger. and no more cold war abandoned dark maps. i mean sure they fit the feel of the game, but they play soo boring

I reakon they should have an underwater level, you know with like pufferfish and flying fish n shit and you have to swim with the jump button. Or even a snow level where everthing is all slippery n shit.

theres needs to be a map with the orange and blue shit from portal 2 hahaha. super fast running and super jump. but not hacking coz that shits gay.

sucks. i sussed a converter to use ps3 controller on xbox, chick sold me the opposite at eb so i gotta take it back. but it turns out i cant use px21's and have xbox live chat because it needs the plug in thing and obviously there isnt one on a ps3 controller. soo its xbox and there uncomfortable controllers it seems.

fuck i just wanna change the button config so L1 and R1 are ads and shoot. i dont get why its the other way around.

I easily change from ps3 to xbox because I started playing the Call of Duty series on xbox. Was so hard trying to play ps3 for the 1st time though so I see exactly where you're coming from. Constantly throwing stuns and nades at people instead of firing.

Takes a little time going back and forth to really train you brain into recognizing the controller difference. It's more whatever you're used to rather than preference.

Just a thought, could you run your PX-21's through an xbox controller using the little converter cord you get with them but use your PS3 controller to actually play? Like using the guest account to go in party on your xbox control but having player 1 (your PS3 control) playing?

i dont think so. that was kinda my plan, i think, its too early in the morn to read wat u said and work it out.. i was gunna have PS3 controller plugged in through the converter, and have a second controller plugged in to plug PX21's in to chat through. but i dont think that works as yeh it creates the split screen problem.

it kinda sucks that u cant do it. i really dont get why shit like this has to be so difficult and why xbox live needs to plug into the controller to work. or why there isnt a PS3 shaped xbox controller. or why u cant remap buttons to wherever u want (im considering getting either a jib so i can reprogram or a modded controller so i can remap, but not use rapid fire coz that shits gay) or why PSN is still down and even then its pretty shit compared to xbox.

the connection problems are to do with BO believe me, but its not as bad on xbox imo. i havent had any problems at all with frame rate drop on xbox whereas on ps3 it happens alot. also i think the graphics are crisper and brighter slighty on xbox for BO. the hit detection still sucks, and the killcams are also still just a mess of inconsistency. its the game and the servers. but yeh, no frame rate problems at all.

80-90% of people on xbox have headsets, thats a big difference sometimes a good, sometimes bad, and there is almost zero hissing and shitty feedback pouring through that u have to deal with. i was playing search and i dont know if it was because people had x41's or astros or something but every1 who was talking was crystal clear, no feedback at all. but thats wat u get when sony dont support us and offer a reasonably priced half decent plug in headset. bluetooth ones are useless.

the multiplayer menus are a little different on xbox, it has an escalation image on there just under create a class and ingame if u have contracts when u pause it shows u wat they are how far through completing them. just small things that show that xbox is without doubt the more favoured console for developers and game companies, and PSN is a second rate service that desperately needs to catch up or with the current problems and lack of support in general it wont be around for much longer.

theres obviously no difference in skill level on either system, but i will say that because of the headsets and generally alot more chat. theres alot more shit talk that goes on and alot more try hard occasions where people just wanna win. so while the players are the same, on xbox there generally alot more aggressive.

im getting my HD PVR hopefully tuesday maybe wednesday and im considering doing some commentarys as i think i could actually do it and not just sound boring as shit. if i do and get some 12+ kill snd games ill talk about this topic for the first one.

I'm pretty sure you could see how far along your contracts were on PS3 but you need to press a certain button to check after you've paused the game, maybe I'm imagining things.

You might not even have to sign in for split screen to join a party as you can do that before you even start playing CoD. You might need 2 xboxlive Gold accounts though but that can be temporarily fixed by just making a new account and getting 1 months free Gold.

Also with the sound quality when xbox updated to the newest dashboard they also changed frequencies or whatever it is for microphones/speakers for improved sound quality. I remember being in parties after the update trying to figure out who was actually talking because it was so clear people didn't sound the same.

HDPVR mmmm, if only I could justify buying one as I hardly even play PS3 anymore even before PSN being down. Might be a good idea for some BFBC2 PC footage though if you can even record PC footage. What PVR you getting? Hauppauge? They're only $199 now on their site

i cant find a mic that works well on my computer so i cant commentate over the 16-0 snd gameplay the few mics i have all sound bad i try to clear them up with the very minimal sound engineering knowledge i have but they still sound awful.
anyone have any ideas?
