the Black Ops Famas is being nerfed.. there slightly increasing the kick and recoil, there reducing the recenter speed which means when u shoot it takes a touch longer to go back to aiming dead straight, there increasing the hipfire spray of it which is a big change that is definitely needed, its basically an smg in that respect, and there increasing the ads time aswell so it takes a touch longer to bring up and aim..

BF3 on console will run 30fps at 720p... on a capable PC it will run at 60fps at 1080p!!!!!

reason enough to save and buy a gaming rig.

ive been lurking PCDIY which seems like a good store in adelaide and they have a setup priced at around $1200 and a bit more for extra add ons and watnot

i can atleast assume its a good setup, but will i have any problems playing BF3 at max settings? or near enough to. i dont about compooooters at all really.

it really depends if BF3 will support hyper-threading, whether you want a 2600K or 2500K

you will want faster ram and a way better graphics card, that hard drive is likely a power saver green shit one. that rig will get no where near maxed imo.

If the main reason you want to buy a PC is BF3 then I suggest waiting a few months like Marburg said. No point buying a top of the line system now then it being a little outdated when BF3 comes out.

You're looking at around $1200 just there plus you haven't got any peripherals. You'll need a mouse/keyboard, monitor/s and an operating system eg Windows 7.

Might as well check out www.msy.com.au to compare prices. You can change your local shop to Holden Hill to make sure it's in stock if you find anything cheaper

i need a new computer anyways.. i just dloaded the new transworld video and opened it in VLC player and it wouldnt play without freezing and skipping every 10 seconds, infact i cant watch a 25 second clip of captured footage without it freezing completely.. i actually put the transworld vid on my ipad and it played perfectly...... yeh i need a new computer.

theres games other than BF3 i wanna play, i wanna get into strategy games and I wouldnt mind giving Iracing a try using my G25, it looks amazing and its basically what raacing a car is like, they even laser scan the tracks that they offer to race on.

oh and ARMA 3 looks insane!!!

Well it's upto you then. That setup you mentioned before should run BF3 fine, maxed out is a different story but I still believe it will still run very well. I'm hoping my rig should run it smooth enough

Yeah pretty much the same as mine. I was thinking I'd have to add another GTX 560Ti in mine to make sure. I was intending to run 3x23/24" monitors in the near future so another graphics card was already on my mind. My only worry is will my 750w power supply be enough. Might have to jump to 1000w to be safe.

Eww just realised I only have one graphics card slot in my mobo, bummer. Ahwell. I've got a mate who'll probably buy it off me to get a new one.
