Yeah, I saw that poll in Slam in the newsagent. Dane got about three times more SOTY votes anyone else. But the winner has to get the most votes from other skaters on the shortlist, which is a questionable system.

It's like getting the federal cabinet to choose the PM, regardless of who the public votes for.

Even though its a Slam thing Brophy had way more international coverage compared to Dane.
They (slam) make it so the top whatever it is choose' so the right person in their mind get what they deserve, but they also count those votes so you don't know who really wins.
