Do you 'do' shorts skating?

How times have changed.
In the first 10 issues of Slam, 9 are be shorts covers. The other one was trackie dacks.
The last 25 issues have been shorts-less.

dont own a pair of shorts, apart from boardies to swim in.

Shorts are king for skating in. So airy and cool, less restrictive, etc. I have no beef with pants but some days the heat just makes it that there is no way i can put up with it

haha.. I find this shorts phobia people have rather amusing.. Since when did skateboarding become a bunch of sheep-following trend-whores..

If shorts are chat, then thats even more reason to wear them. Skating is about individual expression, not looking like your favourite pro skaters and conforming to trends like a little spoon fed gimp even if it means sweating your guts out and feeling like shit.

Ppl are getting two things confused here, shooting for a pro video part / photo that will be timeless means choosing styles of clothing that will not be pidgeonholed. But skating down your local doing 50-50's, drinking beers and shit with your homies is a different setup entirely.. In fact you just inspired me to go buy that shannon noll t-shirt I was having a good chuckle at in the shop the other day... cheers..

occasionally wear cutoffs, but they make me feel like unco when i'm skating.
the heat isn't that bad with jeans.

any pare or chino style shorts are atleast 60 bucks nowadays!

nothing beats a sweet pair of camo cargo shorts with 16 pockets and an inbuilt refrigerator

i just find jeans more comfortable i dont really over heat in them like reallys its only 30cm of extra clothing its not going to boil you over on the odd ocassion i will rock the cut off jean shorts however
