If the producer didn't give the dub to you to play, then i dont think its right, but i dunno, ive never really come across that, does it even happen? That excision and downlink tune is not bro, its nice and deep. Check it out.

yeah it happens but its not very common, usually a producer might give the song to someone to play out, then if its not going to be released said producer may leak it onto the net. i dont see the harm in it, as if its not goign to be able to be purchased (due normally to sample issues or whatev), its still good promotion for the producer to have the tune played out, and it allows everyone else to enjoy it.

If producers dont give a rats it wouldnt matter, but most of the time i imagine they still wants the dubs you will only here at the dance, but meh its really a non issue

You can't play a tune (out) if it's not released unless, of course, you have been given a dub from the producer. I cannot stand when I hear someone play a tune that hasn't been digitally released and I know for a fact they don't have the vinyl.. Was out on Thursday and someone played Coki - Burnin.. Fuck that, he doesn't have the tune and probably would never pay the price to get it so obviously he is playing a illegal vinyl rip out therefore, shouldn't get the privelage to use it..

PS - if that has been digitally released then I am a cocksucker

But I have to say having a mix with your mates or whatever, in a private place is fine to play illegally downloaded music. I admit I do it heaps but it's more to be able to listen and learn stuff that I have bought. Would be good if you got a d/l code with every vinyl release like some producers do.

thoughts on labels like swamp81 doing vinyl only releases? what about when songs are done in small white label pressings and you miss out, is it then ok to dl (illeagely) and play?
