They have a minimum requirement of something like 2 percent of employees to be members of certain minority groups. So if the company only has 50 people, that's only one indiginous(sp?) position. So if that one person leaves, they need to fulfill the minority requirement, regardless of whether they need to refill the position or not.

Government jobs can, if there is a 'genuine requirement' (under some legislation or other) specify that a job is for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander only. 'ATSI Identified' is the term used for those positions.

Somewhat annoying however seeing as i'd like to go for the position in question and you read the information given and its ATSI only
