atheosx29 Mar 2012from the actions in the video yes its justified and that is considered assault, but after hearing the guy talk he just doesnt seem like the guy who would floor a kid for no reason, and the clip does only show what happens not what lead to it. grabbing the dude by the neck is completely unjustified though and pretty cheap and his arguement that "he was coming at me" yeh that just isnt true.
so you could definitely justify charging the guy, but i wouldnt completely write him off as the worst person ever but because what he did was caught on video thats whats happening.

The guy who knocked the young dudes off their boards and "regrets it" still went on to attack Leighton when he was confronted about hitting kids! The guy is a fuckin DoucheBag and deserves more than a cell for the night, he deserves to be manhandled by some big angry bastard in jail... See how he likes it when someone bigger than him pushes him around! And to say we don't know the whole story because of the video footage we saw is absolute garbage atheosx... Even if the kids were throwing shit at him, he has NO right to assault some kid for riding his fuckin skateboard at a skatepark. Call the cops if there's a drama! But he knows he couldn't because they were at a skatepark riding their skateboards... Ironic! No actions from any of the organisers is justified and they all should be charged for the wrongs they've done...
The drug addict fucktard that runs the rehab centre who organised the comp needs to be taken down a peg and silenced for talking such shit.
"The park is unsafe", yet he holds a comp there. Watching that fuckwit talk was so frustrating. I wish I was in arms reach to bitch slap some sense into that moron and make sure he never goes near skateboarding again...
I think the New Zealand skateboard community has unfortunately taken a step backwards as they'll probably be looked on by the general public the instigators of these dramas. I wish them all the best in furthering skateboarding through NZ and let's hope no more dickheads try putting on comps!!! Us "foreigners" (as that Murdoch dickhead calls us) in Australia have your back boys... In the words of the late great T.Webster... Roll Forever!!!
