He is in good spirits under the circumstances. He should be heading home soon but still bandaged up etc. keep the good vibes coming guys, he was stoked to hear of this thread!!!

Hey guys, he got out of hospital today but still has quite a long way to go recovering; no going outside or activity for the next few months, weekly trips back to the hospital etc. He's foightin' like a true Aussie battla and doctors reckon he would be unlucky to have any noticeable scarring once he's completely healed in about a years time. So awesome news there.

Having said that I can't believe he didn't get blown to kingdom come, things could easily have been much much worse had he not acted in a calm and logical manner. I probably would have rolled over and died face down!

We are very lucky that we'll soon be able to witness this marvelous character out shredding life and a skateboard once again!

a years time fark thats heavy. but yea suppose it could be much worse, thats good about the scars also, keen to see him killing it again

A years time is definitely great news, as bad as it sounds. I had a friend who only started walking again about a year after a similar accident, and will likely not recover 100% at all.

Keep them spirits high Sammy, should be good seeing you shredding again as soon as possible!
