Apparently after Benji and the Bacon guys had been skating Five Dock for a couple of hours, he took all the kids they brought with them from Bondi and maybe a few locals on a snake run mission for another hour or so. For a pro to be so humble and give so much at a demo is just unheard of. The guy is an amazing skater, and a bloody nice bloke. I suppose he just cops crap cause people are jealous.

To get back on topic for a moment. I thought it was quite funny when Phelps saw me wearing a Tracker shirt and wrote me off at the Slaughter at the Opera rail comp. It was funny cause the Tracker shirt is the one written with the Thrasher font. I hope he writes me off again at the Pro-tec Pool Party.

I also get the impression Jake Phelps is a bit of a loser but he does make a good magazine. In one issue an Aussie wrote in saying that Phelps and the skate rock tour trashed his house and pool table Phelps just brushed it off and made some sort of smart arse remark.

Been fortunate enough to cross paths with Phelps once or twice. He's a good example of a retard genius in my books. Got nothing but respect for him though but he does come across, on occasion, as a dick. Good bloke to drink beer and talk skate with though. Rolled into Pizzy huh? Gnarly!! Dudes mid 40!!
