on a different note. my sources have albany as oldest park in the world . . . full stop. thats one of the things that got the lakai guys down there.

it wouldnt be far off it at 1972. I would have thought there was some getting done in the US by then though.

Albany Snakerun wasn't built until 75/76 (finished around Jan 76). There may have been park built before this but nothing that I can find that is still around.

Kona in Florida is claiming oldest park in the world but Albany is older.

They are trying to unearth Carlsbad (it is buried under dirt) on the grounds it is the oldest but it was built later in 76 than Albany.

The story accompanying the Snakerun on the skatepark finder is awesome (built by convicts?) but factually inaccurate.
