Was at the volcom comp for a bit, didn't skate as chaos reigned, but hung around to see Potter win.

I went down to Vic Park on Sun arvo and saw a big sign telling me i just missed the Gravity Games trials that weekend.(7-8th)

Apparently Dorfus was skating!!!

The guys at momentum in Claremont told me i couldn't skate V.P ' on Sat 'cause there was something going on but when i went to momentum in Freo the bloke behind the counter had no idea of ANYTHING that weekend...........so confused.................i went to the pub.

I THINK WE ALL MISSED SOME REALLY GOOD SKATING!

Is this thread only catering for stairs and rails?

Am i only to rely on 'eimaj' for any vert/bowl action?...........and he's in China for buckets sake!!!!

'DARKY' wishes he could see 'pro's' skate all the time but i bet he missed some good shit LAST weekend.

I don't give a fuck about football , i use this site to obtain information about local parks ,and events and find it a damn shame that there was no information given about last weekends event.

I had no Idea about the gravity games thing at Vic park either, the advertising was pretty hush hush. I picked up an old Xpesss mag y'day and there was a lil add, I too was spewin as I wouldn't have minded checkin that out.

I feel this thread is somewhere we can all just let people know of the local events we know about, I strongly agree with your footy feelings too. But if nobody knows about it, then you aint gonna hear about it. No point wingin' bout it here, better to send an email to gravity games or something.

I had no idea I had a personal responsibility to keep absolutely everyone informed of everything happening in perth skateboarding all the time.

I think you will find the crew at claremont discouraged you from going on Sat as they would have presumed you wanted to skate rather than spend most of your time watching other people skate.

I would love to watch Dorfus skate Vic Park (still yet to have that pleasure) but would never presume that anyone else has to feel the same way. Most kids were probably out street skating on Saturday having a heap of fun.

Imposing your expectations of what this site/forum should be for on everyone else seems a bit rough. Isn't skateboarding about freedom?

I had to help run/skate in a demo at maddington on Saturday so you may be able to understand why I wasn't focused on what was happening at Vic park. Having said that, if you had asked last week what was going on I would have been happy to let you know.

firstly, a succinct response yahbrain.

secondly, it would appear that sketchymongopregrab (i shudder to think what that would look like) has no friends who know anything about what is going on in the scene around them. my advise would be to try meet some people who skate vert/bowl and network with them.

as for dorfus, i was having some brews with a couple of people who do have friends, and are very well connected in this game we call skating and one of them said dorfus has moved to oregon. i have no reason to disbelieve him as he shot both the covers tim had a while back.

as for what this site is, or should be, try to remember the guy who runs it has a full time job (on the side) and a heavily pregnant wife. he still has time to skate somehow.

so anyway, you should have seen the ditches i skated yesterday yah. fucking of the hook! hips, banks, around the corner banks. i hate to blow my own horn but i back tailed a 70degree, 4 foot high bank. lost my board in the drain so steve flowed me a brand new rowley. what a ruler. then we went to lush and steve was fucking killing it! the dopest back lips, front blunts, big frontside ollies over to the extension. morgs was killing it as usual. i left my shoes of cause i was buggered and drunk. today we go to frankston . . . . yay.

Firstly Yahbrain i think you do more than enough on providing details of upcoming events here in Perth and i think that sometimes things read a little different than intended.It is not your job to keep people like me informed of bowl riding events. As you seem to know most of the skaters here and have all the current info on whats happening i should have rephrased the question to "What happened?Were you there? What did i miss? Was it actually on? Did Dorfus skate?"
I apologise for getting your back up as it was not my intention, but i'm sure your already over it.

Braddox i was not attacking the FORUM or this SITE , i was questioning this THREAD.....understand the difference? :) As for Dorfus being in the states......i have no idea of his whereabouts , hence the question - "what happened here last Sat?......Did Dorfus skate?"
As for my forum name , you can clearly see that i don't take myself too seriously (i'm nearly 40).I've got nothing to prove anymore......i've been there and done that. As for my lack of friends.....i agree....most of the old crew are either dead or fat!
