Spire Handrail Comp, back when Darren Durrant was the main man and his little bro Dennis was un-heard of..

This was the guy that started it all.. Rich was the man. First 'real' skater we filmed and it was a little scary watching him huck himself down a 10 stair in the wee hours of the night. Switch no less.

Little bit of behind the scenes info. Was lurking at ele carpark and about to have a grill but the bong needed water and there were all these kids playing near the only water tap in the middle of the oval with their parents standing near the tap. Rich decided to hench it up and the clip of him strolling back with the blue flanno at the start was him returning victorious, billy filled accordingly and ready for a car dutchie in the carpark before a bowl lash.

Rich had no money at all. The guy was hard up and it got so bad that we basically pitched in and sponsored the guy. Giving him fresh decks and shoes etc just so he could go skating / filming. It may not seem very special to modern skaters but most these tricks were 'firsts'. Never skated a handrail before, never switch flipped a set of stairs before etc etc..

Man all these bring back a lot of memories. From around 2000-2001 mostly I would think? The music is far worse than I remembered, that kinda adds to it though.
