oriana, i might be shooting some shows soon. What settings did you use for that photo, im guessing you have to use about F 2.8 ?

Also what ISO setting works out the best, is 400 enough?

andre c .... its all upto the ambient light readings
u'll want shutter speed of atleast 1/50th in order to avoid camera shake but even more importantly - subject movement!
the majority of my live photography is 1600 or 3200 iso in order to maintain higher shutter speeds
oh and thats at between 1.8 and 3.5 aperture.
3.5 is ideal if u want SOMETHING in focus.

cheers elder, looks like theres no chance of using film to shoot a gig then....
3.5 sounds good since all my lenses go that low, i wanted to try some fisheye shots up close.

Whats your opinion on using a speedlite if you can get close to the stage?

probably going to force me to get a 40D eventually fot the high iso's

300d's are cheap as fuck and can reach 3200 iso with a free hack that gives u 10d specs
but yeah 40d's are cheap too

speedlites annoy some band members but if u can do it id bounce from roof... that or keep the shutter open a bit after strobe to pull through some natural colours... (this will require experimenting)

Bonezy I had to do it *sigh* Corel Paintshop due to my Photoshop not working, but theyre basically the same products.

Theres an easy way to do it, which will give you something good but not great, which is just effect-->Kalidoscope

The hard way i wont go into.

its crooked and a lil under, i wish you had panned down for the whole reflection and a longer shutter so the water is glassy

can you control the aperture and speed on the Polaroid camera?
the flash's will probably need diffusing if you cant
good luck with it

not apurture or anything, but you can make the exposure lighter or darker. i had it on the darkest and flash at 1/4 power but it was still too bright.

second one is fair sweet. Bummer bout the focus though it would have been hard to pick wether to focus on the eyes or the noses.
