The second post was correct the first, and explaining that I'm a terrible pedant when it comes to my own spelling and grammar. For example, I properly punctuate all text messages I send (although I can't really be arsed capitalising a lot of the time, ti's the one thing I let slide).

Oh, and you should get the Zuiko 14-35 f/2, it looks like a fucking monster of a lens and due to the Oly 4/3 sensor gives it a film equivalent of 28-70. Yeah, it zooms at f/2. That's insane! Then again, so is the price tag (2.3 grand in US$, and don't forget to add either postage and GST or 'Australis is shit for camera gear' tax). But it would be a killer lens!

Its Olympus sensor system, i have no idea why they did it because Nikon crop factor is 1.5x, Canon is 1.6x/1.3x but Olympus had to make a fucking 2x Crop. whats me laugh was when the Olympus rep came into work and told me about there lenses saying how good they are (the glass is sick) but he said all the Digital glass on any lens going from $200-$5000 is the same glass no matter what, kinda odd. all you pay for the the build and the f/stop.

The big advantage of the 4/3 sensor is... actually the only real advantage that I know of is that they make smaller sensors (cramming the photosites in tighter for the same megapixels) so that your glass' range is effectively longer. The real reason you buy Olympus is because (a) they're cheap, small and well built or (b) you're loaded and can afford Ziess glass to go on the front end.

Disadvantages? Well, the main one is that more crammed photosite usually means more noise. Also, Canon and Nikon and Pentax and Sony don't use them, so there's not all that much money going into them, only Oly and ... someone else (can't remember who though) use them. At least it's not Sigma, who are the ONLY people using the Foveon sensor, but that's another story. I don't think Oly will really be ale to keep up for allll that much longer if they continue with the 4/3, as with most of the big companies going for CMOS or CCD sensors that's where the real breakthroughs are likely to happen.
