Actually looks alright Ben. The image is actually 2 shots blended as foreground and sky were about 5 stops different.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures Hey Brad, did you learn photography at school? Or are you self taught?

I showed Aaron Brown some of my shots from China last week. He was pretty stoked and told me that I should enter some pics in comps. I told him that I wanna buy a new camera, but I don't have 3 grand spare.

My friend Daniel McKeown and I go on photo missions whenever we can. Maybe we should come up your way and all go on a mission sometime.

A few months ago we climbed the underside arch of Gladesville Bridge to get a good vantage point for the sunset. Here's a couple of the results.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures I like this one just for the sunlight on the wake of the boat.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures These shots were taken near Cabarita a week later. Almost every time we go out to take photos, it's around sunset, so most of my shots are of that or involve sunset lit objects.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures The texture in the rust on this anchor was amazing. Would be great reference for a 3d model.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures I like this shot for the narrow range of focus just on the pontoon plank nails.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures The worst part about shooting with a little digicam is the lack of control in low light situations. It is bloody impossible to focus on constantly moving subjects.

This is Cuzza and Christain West chatting at the Girl Art Exhibit. I know the lighting and focus suck, but I really like the framing.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures Back to the sunlit shots. This was taken as I was on the way to the airport to catch a plane to Perth a couple of months ago. Shots from moving vehicles suck too.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures I promise never to post any sunset/sunrise shots again after this. I got lucky with a sunrise sunshower from my bedroom window in the good ole land of Five Dock mate, where we have mad geminis ay.

re: Miscellaneous Pictures For an inner west suburb, we have lots of animals that hang around our house. We have a family of possums living in the roof, and a family of magpies, and a family of kookaburras that all get fed by my mum. We also get lots of rainbow lorikeets.

I call this one, Kookaburra sits on the old umm.. Hills hoist.

That's all for now. I would love to post some of my China pics, but they are all on DVDs that were burnt on a mac, and my PC don't like em for some stupid reason.

I can't wait to buy a digital SLR and get the same clarity that some of you guys get.

Noice Mic. Sunrise colours are so much warmer, wish I could get my ass out of bed early enough to take some then.
Yes I did photography at school but that was a while back now. Would say majority is self taught

Haha.. Hey PIG, I think the problem was that every time you put something into a mac, all you get back is shit. Gwaahahahahahaaaa...

I thought so Brad. I left school after 2 weeks into year 11 because they wouldn't let me do photography, or continue architecture (after doing it for 3 years). Everything else was damn boring, so I left and missed out on some much needed education.

Thanks lads.
