Yeah I can do a few tricks on mini - enough to have a good fun sesh - but I wanna start taking everything to bigger stuff.

i got some tricks on mini, but not really well enough to string them together in a nice little run.

Yeah hopefully eventually work up to skating vert - gonna have to get padded up for that shit. Haven't skated proper vert before - a few kickturns and maybe a little slashy grind but that's about it.
Just keen to start getting more used to at least riding stuff a foot or two over head height.
Yeah I can get a bit of a run going on the mini - maybe not the hottest trick list but meh I don't skate for other peoples' benefit anyway...
im way too scared to tackle a vert, maybe in a few years.

Yeah I think they were 54's...I usually buy stuff by look/feel haha. I've got no idea about hardnesses - I just pinch 'em and squeeze 'em and pick whatever feels right.
haha yeah rock fakies took me a while - hit the back of my head a few times trying commit even though I knew I was hooking up haha. Got 'em covered on the mini now, but once we started getting up to head height and steeper tranny I have trouble committing haha
i just struggle with keepin the speed comin back, i prefer an axle stall in between a trick.
im ridin 54 or 56' wheels now, they worn a bit but. i prefer soft wheels, dunno why i just like the feel.
but my back right wheel always cops a beatin', too much sessin goes down haha.

Yeah I have trouble with the keeping speed around the bowl - I suppose I just gotta get more used to it, get more comfortable giving it a harder pump on the way down on the bigger tranny. I'm ok going into the deep of a bowl, but coming back to get to the coping with a bit of speed in the shallow gives me trouble. Mind you, the last couple of times my bearing have been a bit squeaky. No shit, we were skating the mini the other day, and had a play on the flat/many pads in the car park at the end, and I kept thinking I was hearing irds behind me, but they'd stop everytime I stopped rolling. Took me about an hour to figure out it was my bearings hahaha
But then one time it took me a week to figure out that the reason my trucks were making random little turns sometimes was because my truck bolts were coming loose haha then it took me another week to bother tightening them haha what a shit ****

i still cant completely grasp a good frontside carve in the bowl, i dont ever practice which is probably the reason i guess.
hahaha yeah its always such a chore to give ya board some maintenance, cant believe it took you a week to tighten em hahaha. i only just replaced my ruined bushings last night, well overdue
Yeah I had a good practice at the frontside carves at dulwich hill on the weekend - gotta get comfortable with hanging it up there, and get used to committing to a good pump on the way back down. Had a few good goes in the end of the capsule hitting three walls and staying at least half way up the tranny. Just gotta keep practicing/doing it...wednesday night bowl sesh's with Mosu and crew should get me going. Some of those guys - fuck they can carve fast. I swear that Fouro Jamie dude only takes about 2 and a half seconds to lap around the riverwood bowl - so fast!!

Should trade your ramones in for some motorhead and a six pack of beam cans. Beam is so much better for skating then beer - all that extra sugar and caffeine haha
not a bad idea, i did have a few motorhead albums on it too, i always get a drink and/or skate started with some motorhead, its sorta one of my little traditions as of late.
beam a bit more expensive though, thats what turns me off it.
