Skelator's guide to emailing a song:
1) find song.
2) email song.
it's a rather technical process, but it please's the wife (H)

A song off a cd that you don't alrady have on your computer that is.

Come on. It's easy isn't it? There's only two steps involved...
I was just gonna make you do it to find out if you knew how so I could get you to tell me how to do it. I tried copying to the hard drive and stuff from the cd drive but I just couldn't get it to work.
have you got media player? if yeah, you can rip off that?
Yeah windows media player I do have.
What I tried was to put the cd in the drive, open the window to give a list of the files on the disk, copied the file for the song to my "My music" folder on my P: drive, then opened up a new email, copied the file from my P: drive, and made it an attachement in the email. It all looks like it works, but unless the cd is in the pc on which you are trying to play the song from the email, it doesn't work - you need the disk in the drive to make it play.
yeah, that's just the 'shortcut' for it, you have to rip the song off the cd via media player or other programs, just rip it and yeah, should work fine when you try to email it then
Umm...i need more of an explanation of this "ripping" of which you speak.
just open mp (10 preferably download it if ya don' have it) and click the rip tab, make sure cd is in and yeah sure be self explanatory really, then go to 'my music' or what ever fold it's set to and yeah bob's your uncle
There is no rip tab. I found a thingo that says "copy music" and in one of the thingo's it had...ummm....

No. It's not that I'm stupid. It's just that the technology available to me is not very well matched to my current skill set LOL
