I've got work as per usual, but I can probably get a day or two off - we're really up to date at work at the moment so getting a day or two off shouldn't be a problem. If you come on the wednesday we should try and have a roll with the MASH boys. If you can get the car that would be pretty sweet. We could do a mini weekend tour of a few parks or something maybe.

oi fox how did you clean your bearings? i remember you dsaying to run them dry and open but i can't remember the specifics, i thought i'd clean them before i banged on my new board
Yeah I clean them with metho, then soak them in this synthetic lube I got off Mosu. It seems that the lube does a lot more of the cleaning than the metho though.
You can have a turn of the oil when you're down if you want. I usually do it overnight. I won't bother typing an explanation - you can see for yourself when you're around.
hmm... you know the racer thingy that holds the balls in, do you soak that in metho too? doesn't it corrode?

pop the cover of the bearings as you dont need to soak that. (both sides if your bearings have 2 covers)
leave the complete bearings minus the covers in the metho, shake stir if the liquid is filthy dark remove bearings change metho repeat shake stir until metho stays clear
get some silicon oil if you can (crc5.56 works ok but there is better, mind you crc56 is available at your local hardware store in an aerosol can so you can oil your bearings and destroy the ozone at the same time)
a quick squirt of crc5.56 or mosu101's patented silicon oil clean bearing covers and re assemble. reassemble skate and go off!
