Cheers for the feedback lads.
Sketty - i'll chuck up another edit shortly without the crop and see what you think
Okay so I was going to try and do this one color but it didn't look right, there is the slightest of slightest of crops but I reckon you were onto something with the whole crop thing sketty
Sketty,
Shooting MF is no different to shooting digial in terms of expsoure, However shadow and highlight detial will differ and the same goes for depth of field/camera shake/mirrorslap/foucs etc for shooting with MF as you are shooting on a bigger format, showing more detail or error. Scanning also plays a huge part in it all also. Id suggest that you buy a light meter and not meter off another camera, the camera is processing that image for you to view as a JPEG on the back of a camera, clipping off important data. And remeber that your DOF is even shallower on MF so try metering your lights a stop or two higher than normal to compensate.
the photos on this page are killer ! props lads.
Cheers JCM, I do plan on getting a light meter I'm just lacking in the $$$ department at the moment so for now I'll just make do with exposing on my digi.
I got another photo at the same drains spot back from the lab on friday. The angle was definitely an issue with the previous photo.
Dean - Front Smith
Also shot this on Saturday night.
Harley - Back tail
That back smith on the spine is off the hook! So stylish
Some people probably already know but monster children are holding a photography competition at the moment with 25g's up for grabs. Would be sick to see someone off here win.
There's already loads of amazing entries but it would be worth a shot.
http://www.monsterchildren.com/photo-competition/2013/?start=30
Costs $5 per photo upload though so it's not happening
Gotta be in it to win it. Free in the student category y'all
This re-size doesn't give the photo or spot any justice, but here is one from yesterday.
