it would bring more attention to the skater if you shot it lower and framed him in the sky but then again you would lose the sense of him skating a kicker...

yeh moey thats the exact problem i had, if I shot any lower it just looked like he was coming out of nowhere.
Also I have a question, I was shooting at 1/250 which should be fast enough to freeze it but it still looks blurry in places...is that because the burst of light from the flash was too long? It was an sb-600 at full power.

yeh, i didnt have a problem with him saying that the photo wasn that great but i just didnt understand the whole thing about how my photos have got worse and worse seeing as i havnt posted any in quite a while
