anyway heres the fisheye angle of the bck tail, theres a blur spot on the lens from when a board hit it which sucks

yeah it was tricky, we shot a number of different tricks, most of them had a fair bit of motion blur, 1/200 just isnt fast enough!

power-up your flashes some more cause they dont seem to be doing much, consider putting one behind him as a rimlight, its looking flat and clone out the lurker and the big pole dividing the frame in half.
should be looking nice after that.

Yeah, I hate the fucking pole. If it was a better photo I'd goto the effort of cloning it out but for that photos it's really not worth it.

try putting a flash in a tree pointing down at him and maybe one in his hand and put a few on your fisheye. the photo is looking flat because you're not using enough flashes. i never have this problem cos i shoot with nothing less than 12 flashes. also try getting your hands on some second hand DOF. ebay can help you there
you've been shooting for a while now so i'm surprised i don't see many seagulls in your photos... it's a bit disappointing man. you either need to lift your game or start shopping them into your shots. you can only get the legit looking gulls in adobe photosupermarket CS12 (which isn't out in AUS yet) so you probably won't be able to rely on post production for this one. i managed to get a copy from a guy i know in the future.
also, you might like to experiment with running medium format film through your vx.
