what does everyone resize to to post here?
I used to do 600px longest side but i did 550 for that and it looks really small to me.
been like a good year since i've taken anything that wasn't me and a mate skating at 2pm
@reign supreme
i get the feeling you dont frequently shoot but thats not bad for a (first?) attempt.
framed well, timed well. but some after processing would make it so much better, the flash is too hot on the bottom of the stairs and not enough on the actual skater. you could darken the stairs and highlight the skater more. also black out the tree branches in the back ground and probably that pole too.
apart from that get another flash and make a thread!
charles (10 years old or something) kickflip 10 stair @ penrif-raf
bad photo... buuut, charles did this first shot
charles - ollie harrington
(p.s. i know i still need more practice with fish shots)
charles kickflip 8 @ macqaurie fields
rasian - boned ollie the box @ macquarie fields
myself - front smizzling @ macquarie fields (cole photo props)
Harrington photo is rad, such a hard place to shoot at in my opinion, worst lighting conditions there for some reason. Either that or im just retarted.
in all of those photos the skater is pulling a mad head. your timing is spot on
top ollie photo looks sweet but needs to show a bit more landing and a bit less head room

I'd disagree here, the Ollie's have good timing, but I'd like to see the Kickflip's timed a bit later (when he is catching the board)

Problem is it's a kid in the photo and they usually don't have the body strength to pop flips big so if you wait for them to catch it that will be about to land or well on their way down making it look mob as hell.
all of you are taking my comment out of context. i was referring to the spot-on timing with the capturing of the mad heads haha
Hope this isn't too big, havn't posted a photo in ages!
