Heading down to Canberra to check out Belco, and Woden on the weekend, pretty keen to check out some good street spots while I'm there as well. As I've never been skating in Canberra before I don't know where they are and don't want to waste half my time driving around looking for them so I thought I'd ask.
Wanting to skate the Hindmarsh blocks; that big wave sculpture thing; any good drain spots; the well known hand rail that is featured in Killself a lot, someone gets reasonably hurt trying to bs tail it, Chima ss bs tails it in the real video I believe; and anything else I've missed/worth checking out.
Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks
Hey kurtis
I think I may have helped you out here. I logged into my btros account and added you to his network.. let me knwo if that worked/helped

Drew, can I see your brothers list too? I'd be curious to see if there are any obvious ones I've missed.

Thanks a bunch guys. Really appreciate it.
hey guys, i am going to canberra for 10 days, i am going to checkout belconnen and woden , would anyone be able to hook me up with some street spots, i have 10 days to skate , and going to be looking for spots, but dont want to waste all the time looking,
I've recently gotten a penny nickel and have been looking for some good street/drain spots around canberra. i've found a couple of ok spots, any tips for others would be sweet!
here looks good tim
Literally just got back from canberra, place is amazing
go to belco, ask around, then hit up Luke, he is the nicest fella i've met in a long time, if you're sincere he will give you the best advice on canberra and all the skating it has to offer
a couple of homies and me are headding to canberra this weekend and was wondering if some one could hook us up with some spots too..and also wondering if the dam there si skateable at the moment. the one that koston dose tre fake manny in pretty sweet. also if anyone wanted to meet up for a skate /hang or beers as im pretty down for anything :)
*i mainly wantto skate all the ditch spots like the turtle bowl etc . but any help would be sick!
Also just got back from a canberra sesh over easter it was awesome would be keen to see what spots we didnt hit
Canberra is the goods. I would also like to know where that ditch is. Any dad cam dudes willing to spill the beans?
head to one of the skate shops in Civic.
Scrivner dam is having maintenance done at the moment and there are workers there 7 days. I think its going on for a couple of months before they clear off and its skateable again and Turtle Bowl has been destroyed as they clear all of the land behind Weston for new suburbs. Sorry bruz!
I love Canberra.
So bummed that Turtle is gone. There are still a few good ditch spots around CBR. Spence drains can be pretty fun.
Generally when you come to Canberra you can just approach a local at Belco and they'd be happy to give you directions to spots. We're a friendly bunch.
the rail in killself might be the uni rail or the cop shop rail and they are gone/ capped
Word up
Heading to Canberra early October with a large ADL crew, it'll be the last trip we do before wrapping up our video SMU...
Just wondering if people could shed some insight to how long we should stay for? And also the proximity of spots? (are all spots in like a 40KM radius etc?)
We'll be there in school holidays, so not sure if 7 days would be enough or we'd need to stay for 9 days? (2 weekends)
Also Drew would you mind adding me to your spot network and anyone else willing to share?
Much appreciated
i think my bro has a heap, i think i added you to his group, see if this works... (prob won't i havnt looked at that for ages)

I reckon Canberras a gold mine for spots, wish Syd was like it. I remember last time I went the scariest lookin fella turned out to be a mad big legend. Moral of the story cons is a bestman in my books.
well canberra has lots to offer. the yha is located in the city which is pretty central to most spots around town. unless any of the boys would like some fellas in theyre neatly made homes. you just got to ask. as for spots theres lots. you can skate anything from some cool ditch/ drain spots to fun flatbars and belco you may find yourself at belco. canberras street is mainly only good for week ends so during the week you may be at the parks. good luck !
Cheers Drew and others for your comments, awesome spot list! Boffff
