The 2015 B.S.F.W Comp is ramping up!

Build, Skate, Film, Win or B.S.F.W, is a Z-Flex initiative that aims to to strengthen the engagement between the skate community and their local bricks and mortar core skate stores. Shops around Australia are given the the opportunity to showcase their team’s ‘shredentials’ by filming at a spot they have built themselves and compiling an edit for the chance to win six cash prize categories.

Kicking off in 2014 the first ever B.S.F.W competition saw a wide range of Australia’s top skate shops competing against one another for their shot at top prize of Best Video. There was a great response to all submissions, and some epic footy submitted for the first comp.

If you didn’t have your eye on lasts years comp here’s the lowdown on results and check out the 2014 videos at the bottom of this blog post.

Best Video – $1500 – Popsgood
Fan Favourite (most Votes)- $1000 – Soggy Bones
Build Beast (Best Build)- $500 – The Smallroom
Spot Envy (Best Spot) – $250- The Smallroom
Rolling Deepest (Most People) – $100 – The Smallroom
Shameless Plug (Most Z Product) – $100- Simply Skateboarding

The 2014 Fan Favorite award saw The Smallroom and Soggy Bones go head to head for 1st place for the last 10 days of voting, and in the end Soggy Bones pulled ahead with a final count of 1,929 votes to 1,853 which was an epic response from the local and international skateboarding community.

17 OF AUSTRALIA’S TOP SKATE STORES ARE ON DECK FOR THE 2015 COMP AND WE ARE STOKED TO PRESENT THEM TO YOU:

50-50 * Alleyway * Boardstore * Fuel * Grundys * Image * Lo Down
MV2 * Nan & Pop * Newcastle Skate * OCD * Popsgood* Skatebiz
Skater HQ * Soggy Bones * Truckstop * Wicked Frogs

Once registered, each of the above shops were loaded up with a $300 Hardware Voucher to stat the build, and a package of Z-Flex decks and Tees to use throughout the filming process. New 2015 Z-Flex Tees and the ‘Dead Language’ deck series released early May, so our BSFW entrants were the first on the planet to get their hands on this fresh product. Click the images below to check them out.

We’ve upped the anti on the prize money since last year, and the photos we’ve received already show the 2015 entrants have pulled out all the stops to bring home the inflated prize purse.

Here’s whats at stake: (Remembering that any one store could potentially take out all 6 categories.)
