From 1974 to '76 there were a significant number of sightings of eight foot tall 'gorilla-men' in and around the Katoomba area of NSW. Prior to that there had been similar reports by settlers in the 1820's, and even before that the aboriginals had also described what would later become known as the 'Yowies Of Katoomba'. In 2014 Brisbane wildlife cinematographer @johnsmang managed to get a wide angle lens right up the red baboon arse of one such creature.
