The King George statue ledges outside Old Parliament House adjoining the Aboriginal Tent Embassy are finally getting capped. Affectionately known as the "Mabo Ledges," this iconic Canberra spot is well known for it's dual level buttery goodness.

It had a pretty good run. Really surprised it lasted this long to be honest. I remember skating these ledges as 15 years ago.

My favourite argument for skate stopping it is, "it's for looking at, not skateboarding". Fuck yeah, I bet people are gonna flock from all over and look the fuck out of it. God forbid people will actually do something constructive with the space.
