cinematic skateboarding achieved through drones and travel budgets... prod's a better skater when he's not talking.

I think Ty Evans feels the need to make horrible garbage like this in an effort to gain validation from the wider community (non skateboarders) for his life choices. It just shows how much he doesn't understand the whole fucking point of individuality and why people start skateboarding* .
*I actually don't know why people start skateboarding these days. I think it might be based on a long term goal for energy drink sponsorship, This film probably appeals to them.

Ty thinks he's changing the game, but this looks like something that someone who has never skated before would make. I see these clips all the damn time, wide angle lenses with terrible non-fisheye distortion, slow motion shots of crews nobody wants to see, painfully slow skateboarding etc. It's absolute crap.

Or he's just sick of doing the same fucking thing for the last 20 years? And wants to do something different, but still in the realm of skateboarding.

That's exactly what he wants Evans, you're right. He's just doing a horrible job at that in my opinion. Pretty Sweet was enjoyable for the most part, that trailer is just difficult to watch.

fuck it. I think it looks good. It's like x games, you bag it but end up setting up your foxtel iQ so you don't miss anything and secretly enjoying it.

The guy needs to scratch his itch and make a non-skate related feature film and stop blowing his creative loads all over the skate scene. Taking a bunch of guys to the top of some helicopter landing pad building and filming flat bar tricks with drones has absolutely nothing to do with skateboarding, would be better suited to some break dancer in a Mountain Dew commercial, oh wait.
