OP
Yo, just after some advice. My front bearings seem to be moving about in the wheel, like I'll push them all the way in as hard as I can, and after riding a while they'll have moved back outwards. Anyone have this before?
Is it caused by the vibrations when riding?

What wheels? Sounds like they're farked. And/or you're running your axle nuts way too loose.

Speed demons, not sure what type. You mean the wheels or bearings are farked? both are brand new. How tight should the axle nuts be, the wheel should be able to jiggle around abit yeh?

Probably gonna chuck em in another set of wheels and see what happens

You want your axel nuts done up till its just pushing the bearing then back it of a tiny bit at a time until your wheel is spinning freely. There should be little to no movement in your wheel along the axel.

It would be the wheels, not the bearings. I saw someone with some OJs of a slightly softer duro and the bearings would move / be pushed out every time he locked into a grind so would have to keep pushing the wheel down on the bearing after each run. It would make the bearing sit unevenly in the wheel so the wheel would not spin very well or almost stop completely, which soon became very annoying.

Simple solution is change the wheels.

If not, you can run spacers in between the bearings and washers on the outside and just do the nut up tightly, but if the spacer makes the bearing sit wider than the bearing seating in the wheel, the wheel will still move.

Cheers for the advice, chucked em in an old set of wheels and no movement thus far, so looks like it is the wheels. The wheels with the problem are of a softer duro too.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I just realised the new wheels aren't symmetrical if you know what I mean. The design side seems more rounded, and the bearing appears to go further into the wheel on the blank side. I had the blank side facing out. Maybe i'll try them with design side out.

What wheels are they? Not OJ Jason Jessee are they? I have seen those ones are offset and come loose.

Spitfire make Lock Ins which are very much one side (graphic) out, but the duro of those doesn't go below 99 / 98 from what I have seen.
