Already going to primavera sound, but any good recommendations like bars/restaurants/backpackers/beaches wold be appreciated. Here is a photo of a Spanish sprouter to get the thread started. Cheers
Ah shit meant to post this in 'other.' derped from my ipad

go to nevermind. theres one down near the beach there (older one) or theres a new one near to macba, kinda behind it somewhere there, cant remember exactly how to get to it but im sure you can google it. its a skate bar. the one near macba also has a bowl inside that you can skate. you get popcorn when you order beer which is awesome, and will inevitably make you buy more beer i suppose. they also usually have skate videos playing.
other bars: l'ovella negra (black sheep in catalan) is a rad quiet little bar. if you want to go to the opposite end of the scale, razzmatazz is a huge 5 floor club thing thats also pretty good fun. cant remember most other bars, oh except if you want to speak english to other english speaking tourists for some reason then queen victoria bar, off la rambla, has english speaking bar tenders etc.
go sneak into the olympic pool one night (as far as i remember security guards left by 2am or so, maybe give or take an hour on that figure). you can get awesome views of the city from up there and just chill on the diving boards with beers.
im not very good with food so dont know much about restaurants. except if you wanna be real cheap then about 80m from macba (head back towards ronda de sant antoni - thats say heading opposite direction from that gap at macba where joslin does big spin over the bin to the road / pfanner bs 180 etc gap then take your first right). about 50m up from there on the right is a little place that does 1 euro chips. its awesomely cheap. also i know its corte ingles, but the corte ingles near that plaza at the top of the main rambla - if you go to the top floor theres a restaurant where you can look out over that square and things.
beaches, dunno, i went to the main beach a few times and that was cool. not much of a beach person but its nice to chill and not have to worry about walking anywhere to get beers, if you dont mind paying a little extra to buy them off the blokes selling them around the beach.
only time ive stayed in a hostel there, i stayed in art city hostel. it was pretty good. good staff who would drink with you and things and help you out.
apart from that sorta stuff then theres your normal sorta touristy stuff and all your normal sorta skate stuff to do. hope some of this helps!
I'm making my way across to Barcelona from Eastern Europe at the moment. Will be there in under a month. As Greeny mentioned Nevermind Bar is a good place to start. Super easy to find from MACBA. Pararrell (Sp?) is also super close to being finished. They have revamped all the manual pads etc.
You won't have any trouble running into skaters around MACBA who can help you with info. It's highly recommended to keep an eye on your stuff at all times (don't sit phones and wallets out on tables). Those gypsies are quick!
Thanks fellas, cheers for the info. Weather has been pretty shakey the last few days, but looking forward to setting up a board tomorrow, staying a block away from MACBA. Anyone got any hooks for membership into one of the decent coffee clubs?
Also if anyone is keen to catch up for a roll or a beer hit my up on here or on Facebook
