With 10 years' skating under his belt, at 18 years old Ryder Lawson may be the youngest grizzled veteran in the business. Hailing from the sleepy beach community of Cronulla, Australia, which is the home town of pro skater Jake Brown and surfing’s legendary Mark Occhilupo, Lawson already has a half dozen stateside skate trips to his name and his eyes are firmly fixed on the next one.
But judging from our conversation with Lawson before the recording of his “first real part”, it’s clear that he also has the hunger of a rookie on the cusp of making something happen – travelling, making footage and skating everything in his path.
