The skateboarder swore at his children - He asked the skateboarder to not swear at his children and this makes him a wanker?

Mate it's one day at the park probably there for half an hour just suck it up and skate something else in the park. it's not like its a small park.

Pretty simple.

If you were not swearing at the kids or the dad, then he would not have had issue.

When kids get in your way, stop them and talk to them nicely first - politely but firmly. Almost always works at all the parks I go to, including the parks that have little shits and street kids just out for trouble.

It makes me sad to be a skater sometimes, when I completely understand the frustration of both sides, but the one being the biggest dumb ass is the guy on the skateboard.

Fuck, am I watching the same video as the rest of you guys? The one i'm seeing doesn't show what actually happened to start this. Depends how the skater actually spoke to the kids of course but it doesn't seem like he would have be intimidating or threatening. Seems like it was mainly about swearing. By far the worst thing i'm seeing is the overreaction of tough guy dad in the end…..how he runs back up onto the platform for absolutely no reason. Clearly he's a typical macho toughguy douche who wants to fight at the slightest provocation. Unless the skater was really intimidating and threatening towards the kids, it doesn't justify the way the dad acts. OOOOOOOH NAUGHTY WORDS OH NO!!!! Little Rod and Todd will be scarred for life. BAD WORDS VS SHOWING YOUR KIDS THAT CONFLICTS SHOULD BE RESOLVED WITH VIOLENCE??? YEAH GOOD ONE!
This forum is the fucking worst.

There is a simple solution to this: "Educate" the parent and child. I've had to do this many times, go up to the parent and say: Hey your child is cruzing around and they are not looking where they are going, and I'm worried they will get hurt or hurt someone else. 9 times out of 10 the parent will thank you and ask what the skatepark etiquette is. There is nothing more I love than skating with my 9 year old son, and he still sometimes doesn't look out and I have to pull him up about it, it's what you do when your an adult. This video pisses me off!!!

Ugh, it's true stereotypes exist for a reason, it's a real same to be mashed into the same category of selfish immature punk skaterat as this guy when most skaters are intelligent reasonable humans. It's really cringe to watch this and whats even more cringe is that you guys post this here like it's a cool funny video. This dad didn't do anything wrong, I'm assuming off camera you swore/yelled at the kid in your way while trying to film some trick, fair enough you were frustrated but come on have some respect. The kids and dad have just as much of a right to be at the skate park as you. The dad politely and reasonable asked you not to talk to his kids like that and you can barely string two words together without sounding like a hostile imbecile. Yes it is beneficial for everyone if you educate the kids and parent on the proper etiquette of the skatepark but you aren't the victim here. If you took this video to the copshop after he broke your jaw this guy has just cause. Enjoy growing up.
